New features & improvements for ABS Breeding Advanced Search
The advanced search feature of ABS Breeding (and ABS Production) will soon receive new functionality. Below is a breakdown of the upcoming changes.
Changes to Saving/Sharing Presets
Previously, renaming a preset before hitting “Save” would create a duplicate, often leading to accidental copies over time. The new update introduces both a “Copy” and a “Save” button, preventing unintended duplication.
Additionally, the way shared presets appear has been improved. Instead of the previous “G(roup)” prefix, shared presets will now be color-coded:
Blue for private presets
Purple for shared presets
Custom Filters
We are testing the addition of custom filters, enabling advanced filtering functions that were previously unavailable. For example, a new filter can automatically exclude records older than one year without requiring manual date entry.
Headers
Customer feedback highlighted that extensive, unmodifiable filter lists were becoming an issue. To address this, we are testing dynamic headers, similar to record forms. This allows users to organize traits under specific headers and collapse sections for better navigation.
