GPS tracking in ABS

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based radio navigation system. It provides geolocation and time information to a GPS receiver anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. 

In the ABS Software it is possible to track GPS coordinates of fields as well in ABS Breeding as in ABS Seed. GPS tracking can also be used in field inspections, to check if the right field is inspected for instance. 

The field map and plot fields application are visualizing the fields as registered by capturing the GPS coordinates. Other information of the field can also be integrated, like weather, soil and crop data. This way of working supports precision agriculture.
