Klein Karoo Seed Production and Agrofors
Klein Karoo Seed Production (Pty) Ltd specializes in the production of high quality vegetables, forage, pasture, agronomy and organic seed on a contract basis for seed companies from all over the world. KKSP has been using ABS since 2010. 
Recently, KKSP started a new company, Agrofors. Agrofors is specialized in forages like sorghums, alfalfa, oats, barley and lucerne for the South Africa market.
Field inspections are done with the ABS production App. Also, the crop reports come from ABS Seed.
ABS and Klein Karoo Seed production’s intentions are to continue collaboration to continuously improve seed production and information on these productions.

With great pleasure we would like to introduce to you our new colleagues:
Sven Bormann Adam Prokes Stephan Tan
Stephan will join the consultancy team to support and coordinate the (new) ABS Seed implementations. You can also hire one of our business consultants to improve (the usage of) your ABS Software.
The hiring of Sven and Adam is a great relief for our current testing team. ABS Seed is improving at a very fast rhythm, new features, new techniques, new apps etc. etc. You do not want to discover any bugs when obtaining the new version! These guys will be essential at the background of your software!

ABS Seed: What’s new?
The current version in development of ABS Seed is 12.90. Below you see a selection of improvements since version 12.50. A full description of developments per version is available in the release notes of each version.
Purchase
For a preferred supplier you can now directly create purchase orders as well as sales orders.
Reception of seed in the warehouse
When receiving seeds in multiple harvest moments, it is now possible to set-up in ABS a sample ONLY when the last batch from harvest is received.
Also, ABS can now be connected to a weight bridge, to weigh trucks. The trucks can be loaded with seeds as well as empty.
Inventory management
The select batches for processing screen in ABS is one of the most important screens, where the warehouse manager has an overview of all batches in his warehouse. One of the latest improvements is that you can select your batches in this screen not only on family name, but also on crop level.
Materials/Quality
An overview of results on different quality results is now available on crop family level.
Sales
The pricing system has been expanded with more discount options for certain countries and/or types of customers.

ABS Production: Clover Seed
Since last year, Clover Seed has been using our online ABS Production software.
Clover Seed is a Hong Kong Seed company involved in almost every aspect of the seed business. The Seed Production Department was established in 1986 to provide contract production of vegetable and flower seeds for overseas companies in China. The company presently has around 100 staff.
We have been talking to Tony Szeto, the production manager of Clover Seed. Tony was looking for a software that was easy to go, but most of all providing all the data in an attractive way. “ABS production is helping us to access our data in a faster way. And more important, working with ABS offers me the possibility to compare the data more comprehensively”, Tony explains.
With the menu’s our developers have created for Clover Seed, all data about the field activities and performance of the different areas can be compared from season to season. “The production fields are widespread in Asia and in a COVID situation we could not visit them all personally.” The usage of the app provides Tony all the data he needs to do his production analyses. “Actually, it covers all the processes from grower arrangements to inventory tracking.”
“But in the end, the best option the software brings is the ability to use it in Chinese as well!” Tony concluded.
